7th grade- First season of school football. I missed the playoffs of my seventh grade year because I broke my ankle in a basketball game. That wouldnt have been so bad except I fractured the growth plate in my ankle so not only did I have a cast 6 months but they told me there was a good chance that that leg would be shorter than my other one.
8th grade- Easliy the most dangerous of my injuries. After getting three concussions in four months earlier in the year, I got my fourth and worste concussion during football practice. I was knocked unconscious, taken away in an ambulance, told by the doctors that there might be some permanet brain damge, developed a stutter, forced to go to school the next day even though I couldnt speak in complete sentences, taken away from the school in an ambulance for the second time in two days, and spent the next year over coming all the learning problems that come with getting hit in the head that much.
9th grade- The most unique injuries. I missed the begining of the season because I got biten on the foot by a brown recluse spider (which are poisonus), that just happened to be carrying the staff virus. I had to keep my foot above my heart until the staff infection got to the point that the doctors could remove it. Later in the season I got hit in the knee and ruptured my burstisack. I didnt keep me from playing football but it was insanely annoying. I basically had a bag of fluid on the side of my knee that sloshed as I walked. The worst part was that every week before our games I had to go to the team doctor to get it drained, which they do by sticking a huge needle into the sack and applying pressure until the sack is comlpetely deflated. And they did this for weeks.
10th grade- Best X-rays ever. I only got hurt once that year, but thanks to the doctors it lasted the entire season. I some how got a spiraling fracture all the way down one of the bones in my hand completely separating it . After many weeks in a cast the doctors took it off to see how it was healing, and thats when they told me that it had healed wrong and they were going to have to re-break it and start all over. I had already missed a bunch of games so I said "No, Ill just play football and hope someone else breaks it." So I did and now I can't close my hand completely.
11th grade- I didn't actually get injured this year but I got some kind of crazy virus that kept me in the hospital for a couple of days and caused me to miss a couple games. In the off season i got a bone spur in my shoulder but that wasnt a big deal.
12th grade- The most painful year of my life. In the summer work outs I dislocated a rib from my sterum which is easily the most painful thing I have ever done. I couldnt do anything that made me breath heavily or I would pass out from the pain. Later that year I did the second most painful thing I have ever done. I had strained my hamstring in practice, but the trainers said I would be fine to play in the game as long as they continually stretched me. The coaches finally pulled me out of the game in the fourth quarter, at which point I could no longer walk. After an MRI the doctors told me that I must have torn it and kept playing on it becuase they didnt understand how I had done so much damage to it. Ironically that injury caused me to miss almost my entire senior year, which combined with my reputation as being injury prone, ruiened my chances of gettin any scholarships

Never Completed A Football Season
I have never been able to finish a football season without some kind of injury that kept me from playing in atleast one game. Not only have I been injured every season I have played in, but I have never hurt the same thing twice. My dad tells me all the time that I get the most creative injuries.
First year I played football was pee-wee football. I was playing soccer at the same time and during one of our games I twisted my knee badly. That wouldn't have been so bad except I had a football game right after. I didnt want to tell anyone my knee was hurt because my mom already didnt want me to play football at that age because she thought I would get hurt. She was right, I twisted my knee the other direction and was unable to do anything but walk for a couple of weeks. That was the end of my football career until middle school.

Only Three left!!!
I feel like I have been writing blogs for since I woke up. I actually probably have been writing them for the majority of the day, but I am getting so close to being done that I can almost taste it.
Writing these blogs has been like running a marathon. I started out pretty slow, but after awhile I feel like I got into some what of a groove. I rode the groove through the majority of the blogs, and now that I am getting close to the end I can feel the groove fading and my brain running out of ideas. These last couple of blog are just utterly painful. I wish I had not put this off until the last minute.

Mavericks
My two favorite NBA teams are the Celtics and the Mavericks. This is the first year in a long time that I have been proud to be a Celtics fan, but I can not say the same for the Mavs. They just can not finish a close game.
I have no faith in them anymore. I love Dirk but the man takes just as many terrible shots as amazing shots at the end of games. I just don't think it is possible to win a championship like that. They made a couple big trades but they have not fixed the problem the Mav' s have with finishing out a game.

I hate blog-spot.
This website is driving me crazy. I ran out of ideas for blogs so I went to the class list so I could read through them, get ideas, and get some of the comments out of the way. No such luck.
I can get on to the master list of blogs and I can read them , and I even made a comment on one of them. When I tried to make my second comment, the computer gods said NO! The only thing I could get the stupid website to do is tell me that the Blogger is not working. O well, atleast I got another topic for a blog.

Burritos
Burritos are the most genious food. It is all of my favorite foods all wrapped into an easy to eat shape, that you can eat with your hands. What could possibly be better than that?
There is a borrito place close to my house in Plano called Quedoba. It is the best burrito place, hands down. Freebirds has nothing on Quedoba. I don tknow that it is a chain but if your ever in Plano try it out.

Kung Fu Movies
I love watching kung Fu movies. I dont really like any one movie in particular, I just like to watch crazy Asain guys fighting. Every time i watch those kinds of movie it always makes me wish that I knew Karate.
This summer I plan to take some kind of mixed martial arts class. Not because I like Kung Fu movies that much but because I think it will be a valuable skill to have later in life. Although if I ever got the chance to be in a Kung Fu movie a would take it in a second.

15 down, 8 to go
I currently have 15 post on blog, and it was not easy. I did not work on the blogs much during the year and i really regret it now. In the beggining I had trouble figuring out how to make the blogs work, so my plan was to write the paragraphs in Word and then I was going to copy and paste them into the blog once I figured it out.
Things didnt quite go as planned. My plan just made thing more complicated, which made me not want to write them even more. I wrote a couple, and I even figured out how to get some on the blog. Then I just stopped writing them, and here I am now writing all my blog the night they are due.

Restaurants
I hate going to sit down restaurants. I am way too impatient of a person to wait for the cooks to cook my food. I would rather just do it myself. There are appropriate times to go to sit down restaurant, like special occasions or a date, but I could never go out to eat every night.
My cousin once told me that you could tell how nice a restaurant is by how long it takes them to bring out your food. The nicer the restaurant the longer the wait. As far as I can tell, his theory hold up pretty well. Try it some time and see what you think.

Roommate with money
Its awesome to get a roommate who has some extra spending money. I just so happen to have one. It will be a pleasant change to live in an apaprtment with a full full fridge and realy furniture.
Jd, who I will be living with next year, is going away for the summer to do construction work. He will be making $15 an hour plus over time, and he will be working 10 hours a day, six days a week. Even though he has to pay tuition, rent, and insurance he will still have enough money to buy the $2000 kegerator for our apartment.

Signed my first apartment lease
The weekend after I went to visit A&M, decided that I wanted to go to school there, and started looking for an appartment with my friends, I had to drive back to college station to sign a lease on an apartment. It is a drastic change from what I thought I was going to be doing my junior year, even from a few weeks ago. I have not even finished applying to Blinn College, and yet I already have a sweet appartment to stay in.
The rooming situation did not work out the way we wanted to, but I will still get to live with my long time best friend JD. We signed a lease on a three bedroom apartment but for the time being our third roommate is going to be random. We were supposed to live with our other friend we visited A&M with but he thinks that we party to much so he wanted to live with someone else. Hopefully JD's little brother, who is only a year younger than JD, will get the third spot in our appartment.

Transfering Colleges 4
I am dumb. I did not send in the application that I had filled out for Texas A&M because it was expensive and at the time I was not sure that I really wanted to go there, and now that I really want to go there, it is to late to send in transfer applications. So instead of going to A&M next semester I will have to go to Blinn Jr. College for a semester and tranfer into A&M in the spring.
I dont really mind because I will still be living in College Station with my two friends. We have already basically decided what appartment we want to get, all we have to do is actually sign the lease. My parents are a little hesitant about me decieding to tranfer colleges and sign a lease in the same weekend, but I am comfidant this is what I want to do.

Transfering Colleges 3
I went down to College Station this last weekend, and I was impressed. Going in I was really just going to College Station to meet up with my friends and have some fun but when I went on the campus tour I was sold. I had not even visited A&M when I was a high school senoir because of all the bad things I had heard about it. After seeing it for myself I dont know why people are always bashing it.
The campus is huge and there are so many people there. My favorite thing about the school is how passoniate the students are about the sports there. I have a couple of friends on the football team there and we got to hang out with them, and they told us how crazy people were about the team. One thing that I did not like about Texas State was that sporting event were realy not a big deal. Basically I have decided to tranfer to A&M.

Transfering Colleges 2
Well there is no chance that I will be going to Florida next year, but I still want to transfer to a different college. My next top choice was Texas A&M but I am not sure that I really want to go there. My long time best friend and another one of my close friends are planning on transfering there, but I just don't know that I want to be an aggie.
I have filled out the entire application including the required essay, but I have not sent it in yet because I am still having second thoughts and it costs $60. I am going to meet my two friends in College Station within the next couple weekends so I can take the campus tour and make my final decision. I am starting to think that I will run out of time to tranfer before next year.

Transfering Colleges
Although I like it here at Texas State, I have been thinking about transfering somewhere else. So far the top two choices are University of Florida and Texas A&M. I want to go to the University of Florida the most, but I am only going to go if my friend, Matt, goes with me. We have been talking about transfering there since this school year started.
There are a couple of things standing in the way of us going there. First is the rediculas grades you have to have to tranfer in as a junior. You have to have a 4.0 in the college your attending and you have to have made a 32 on your ACT. The other thing stopping us it that Matt's father just recently died and he is having second thoughts about moving so far away from his little brother and mother. Which is completely understandable.

Rude Awakening
The other day I woke up a couple minutes before my History class thinking it was going to be anothe morning of notes. The night before I had stayed up late studying for a different test I had later in the day so I was pretty tired and thinking about not going. I went online to see what we were doing that day and I saw that I had a test.
I had completely forgotten about my history test because I had been studying so hard for a less important and less difficult test. I really needed a good grade on the history test becasue I had not done so well on the one before it, and I had done pretty well on all of the tests in the class I had studied for. I went in to the class anyway and took the test, but even though I had not missed a class I was still under prepared.

On an Island
Since I have been watching Lost I have been thinking about what I would do if I was stranded on an island. I think the first thing I would do would be to find some kind of high ground so I could see where I was. This is assuming that there are other people waiting on the beach incase a boat came. If I saw that there was nothing around I would go back to the rest of the people and set up some temporary shelter.
After a couple of days of not being rescued I would start setting up a more perminent shelter. If a couple of weeks go by and I was still not saved I gather as much supplies as I can carry and start exploring inland. I would keep traveling until I either found civilization, the end of the island, or died. I would not be able to sit around waiting to be rescued.

Lost
I just recently started watching the show Lost. Really the only reason I started watching the show was because I found out that you can watch the entire first three seasons on the internet. After I watched the first couple episodes, I started to get into it. I have never really gotten into I tv series before so it was different to me.
Once I have been constantly watching the series for a couplpe of weeks and I am already through the entire first season and most of the second. The show has taken some crazy turns in the second season. I have heard that the show gets even crazier, but I will have to see what happens for my self.

Super Bowl
I am so glad that the Patriots lost the Super Bowl. Ever since Tom Brady became the quarter back for the Patriots, I have hated them. I don't really know why I hate them so much, but something about the team erks me. It probabbly has something to do with the fact that for the last couple of seasons they have comtinualy embarrassed my favorite team, the Buffalo Bills.
Another thing about the Patroits the that I hate is that they are cheaters. Even if they are not the only team that got caught video taping the other teams, they still got caught. They should be punished for cheating. When I heard about what they did, I laughed for a really long time.

Going to China
The other night, Anrdew Wu, one of my best friends that I have know since middle school, invited me and two other guys to with him on his yearly trip to China. He was born in China but moved to America when he was only a couple of years old. He lives with his two sisters and mother, but his father still lives and works in China. So every summer Andrew goes to China to stay with his dad, but this summer his dad allowed him to bring friends because there family got tons of ticket to the Olympics.
That means that not only do I get to go and live in China for a month with people who actually know and understand the culture, but I get to see the Olympics. We will be staying with Andrew's many family memebers scattered all over china, so we will be moving and traveling the whole time. The only time we will be in the same place for a week is when we get to see the Olympics. The best part is that since we will be traveling and staying with his family, we wont have to pay for food or a place to sleep.

Mardi Gras 2008 Continued
Day 1
We drove around New Orleans for a little while looking at the damage still left from Katrina. If you have not been to New Orleans since that happened, you really should try to see it. Words can not describe how much destruction was done. We parked in some random persons front yard because that was what everyone else was doing and had to walk thirty minutes to where my friends fraternity had set up. When we got there the frat guys showed us there moving truck full of 40 kegs, a couple couches, and a couple porter potties. I started off the day challeging my friend from the frat to a chugging contest because he said he was the best in his frat. After I beat him five times in a row, he finally agreed that I was better and that ment that I could beat everyone in his frat. Bad news for me because after that everyone in the frat felt that they had to challenge me, so the rest of the day is a little blurred.
By the end of the day I ended up winning almost $200 from guys betting that they or their friend could beat me. I was not as fortunate with getting beads though. When the parades started a group of us went to the front so we could get beads so we could give them away again. The only problem was the people on the floats did not want to give a bunch of guys beads, I guess we just didnt have the winning personalities they were looking for. I even carried around one of the guys, who was probably twenty pounds heavier than I am, around on my shoulders for a good 15 min, and we still only got a handfull of beads. We stumbled back into the lake house around 2 in the morning and went right to sleep.

Mardi Gras 2008
At 6:15 p.m. on thursday of last week I got a phone call from JD, one of my best friends from Dallas, saying, "Dude throw a change of clothes in a bag and drive here now." I replied "why?" He said two words, "Mardi Gras." I replied, "Alright, I'm in." I hung up the phone, packed, and left for Dallas. JD and I have been getting into trouble together for as long as I can remember, and one of the reasons for this, is that planning ahead has never been high on either of our priority lists. When I got to Dallas, I decided to stop by my parents house to say hi before I left for New Orleans. They had no idea what was going on when I showed up, and when I told them that JD and I were about to leave for New Orleans the only thing they said was, "You are telling me that you just drove three and a half hours north so you could to drive eight hours southeast?" As soon as I heard that I knew that the trip was an awesome idea.
During the drive Jd informed me that there was actually some kind of a plan. Two of our Dallas friends, who are in an LSU Frat, were going to stay in New Orleans at one of their Frat brother's lake houses, and that we were going to stay with them. I was a little suprised that he had thought that far ahead, but I was glad we were not going to be sleeping in the car. We finally got to the lake house just as everyone was getting up and getting ready to start partying.

English 1320
So as far as I can tell all we are supposed to do is write about what ever is on our minds at the time that we sit down in front of the computer. The thing that is on my mind right now is how much different your life would be if your born into a famous family. What made me think about it was that I saw Hulk Hogan at Mardi Gras last weekend and i remember seeing him on one of those celebrity family reality shows.
I personly don't think I would have much of a problem being born famous, but at the same time I would imagine being in the public spot light for your entire life would make it impossible to live a normal life. If you were famous enough to have a face that everyone knows, you would probably get alot of free stuff, which would be awesome, but you also would not be able to get away with anything. It's something to think about.
